Transfer of lables from exel to word

When I have finished my lable list on exel I Save and
close out exel and go to word. I then click on tools and
mail merge
then I follow the instructions till I get to select
recipients click use an existing list and then click
browse. then look in list and open. at this point in time
a list of garbage comes up on the lables and I go to clik
on my list and only a partial list comes up and all the
zip codes are not there .I cannot get the whole list to
come up.
Please help me with this problem.
