Transfering Calendar events to another computer

Is there any way of just exporting the calendar events for
specific time frames, "say" from March 12, 2003 to current
date rather than all calendar events?

At the present time whenever I need to update my desktop
with events from my laptop I end up cacking up/copying
everything from day one to present date.
I know that there are filters when using the import/export
features when backing up to a floppy/zip disk etc.,
however I am unsure how to apply the filter to a specific
time frame.

Suggestions welcomed.
