Transfering Office To Another Desktop

I installed Office XP on my current pc. I'm going to buy a
new desktop in the future. Is there a way to transfer the
license of Office XP from my current desktop to the new
one?

the phone method to activate.

Isn't there a period of time in Office XP (similar to the three months in
Windows XP) after which activation is automatically done over the internet
as usual?
