Transfering Software

I want to transfer software from one computer to another
computer which is in another part of the house but I can't
because it won't allow me to "authorize" it's use on the
second computer after it has already be authorized on the
first.

How do I move software from one computer to another or is
that possible?

Depends what the software is?
As for Office, you can only install from the original media, providing the
EULA allows you to.

Can that be done & still be "authorized"

Thanks

If it's not an OEM copy then yes, just un-install and install on the other
PC.
But you may have to activate it by phone if on-line activation fails.

Office Basic is only sold with new computers so it is an
OEM installation. As others have stated, OEM software is
forever tied to the computer on which it came preinstalled
by the OEM. You will need to purchase a retail copy of
Office (probably standard) for your second computer.
