Transferring autotext

I need a way to transfer AutoText between two normal.dot templates. I'm
guessing this might be possible with VBA. Any suggestions as to how to
reference the autotext object?

Preferably the solution should also work for older versions of Word.

Note this refers to autotext, NOT autocorrect entries. (often a source of
confusion!)

Try no VBA and ALT F8 Organiser
Open Autoetxt tempate on left or right
Open New Template on opposite site
Select down and press COPY

General idea - it will be apparent when you select AUTOTEXT TAB in
ORGANISER.

The simplest method would be to move the autotext entries to a new blank
template (as described by Joacim) then provide that template as a global
add-in. It is always best not to mess with other users' normal.dot files.

Thx, that worked.

BTW, the object is to salvage the autotext from a broken normal.dot. This
one slipped through our (otherwise rigorous) backup-procedure because it was
being stored in a nonstandard location on this particular machine.
