Transferring data to Word

I'm trying to find an easy way of letting my users
transfer data to Word so that can layout letters any way
they want. The db is password protected. Using the
tools in Access is not an option....are there any thrid
party tools out there that allow users to do this...or
are there some alternatives I can be exploring?

I have a read made solution that works for secured databases.

It allows you to send the current record on a form to a word template.

The users CAN EASILY create and layout the word templates.

Try doing a mail merge for gathering the data from the db
via a data source and if its password protected it will
prompt you when you choose to open that data source with
the mail merge in word, I use it all the time in my job on
a weekly basis and it works like a charm
