I have the new MacTop and when I transfered my excel files to this computer I am not able to edit the text that I have in my text boxes. It is like they are read only. What do I do to fix this. Thanks!

it requires no password in previous versions of excel. It is only with this version that I am prompted for a password. I contacted the author of the spreadsheet and he says that the area I am trying to type in does not require a password. And I mistyped earlier, this is a new MacBook with Microsoft 08 software.

The Textboxes are undoubtedly ActiveX controls. ActiveX is (currently)
Windows only.

To work in MacXL, one must use Textboxes from the Drawing toolbar (or
equivalently Insert/Textbox)
