transferring from OE6 to Outlook 2007

I am trying to transfer all of my folders and address book from outlook
express 6 into outlook 2007. Can't figure it out? Help. I want to begin
using outlook vs outlook express but need all of my old emails and addresses.

You have to configure Outlook first, then in Express export your msgs to
Outlook.
Then in Outlook Import your Address Book

I have configured Outlook on my new computer. When I go to export from the
old computer in Outlook express i receive the message that "either there is
no default mail cleint or the current mail cleint cannot fulfill the message
request. Please run microsoft outlook and set it as the default mail
client." OE is on one computer and Outlook is on another? It gives an error
message "export could not be performed. an error occured while initialing
MAPI"

Oh, outlook and Express has to be an the same PC in order to Export/Import

Does your new PC use Outlook Express or is it Vista, that uses Windows Mail?
You need to transfer your OE message store to the new PC, and your windows
address book (wab)
Then make these available to either OE or Mail, before you can export mail
and import address book
