Transferring from Publisher to Word - Keeping Images/Links intact

K

Katie

Good Morning,

I have spent the morning trying to find a way to do this, and can find
similar methods, but none that will keep all of the features of my document
intact.

We have a newsletter that needs to be sent via email, (hence it's publisher
existence) and also attached as a document that can be printed in word.
Within the document there are text boxes, images and links.

All of the ways that I have tried to do this including copying and pasting
as a metafile, saving as a word document, etc. do not maintain all of the
source information.

Does anyone know of another way to do this?

P.S. If I try to select all and copy and paste, it pastes the information
way off to the right of the document and I cannot get it to be formatted
correctly.

Thank you very much for your assistance,

Katie

Maybe converting your Publisher document
to a .pdf file and e-mailing it as an attachment
would be a workable alternative.

Hi Katie
I'm battling with the same problem and haven't as yet worked out a solution
- did you have any luck?
In my case, I have a report cover sheet design which was developed in
publisher which I then need to insert as the first page of a word document
that contains the body of the report.
Thanks in advance

It would be better to do the opposite, import the Word document to Publisher.
Insert a page after the cover, create a text box, right-click the text box,
click change text, click text file, browse to the Word document.

You could convert the Publisher file to a picture and insert that as your cover
in Word.
