Transferring Outlook 2007 email data from one laptop to another

I have purchased a new laptop with Windows 7 / Outlook 2007. I wish to
transfer email data (files/contacts/calendars) from my óld' laptop (Vista /
Outlook 2007) to the new laptop. I understand I can export / import to an
USB data stick, is this information correct. If so in what format and the
process involved? please.

Don't use export / import; close Outlook on the old system, then copy
your PST file(s) to the new system, then add the PST file(s) to Outlook
using the Mail applet in the Control Panel.
