transferring outlook data to new computer - it setup duplicate fo.

I have recently tried to transfer my outlook data to my new laptop.
Unfortunately when I did an import from my old file, it created duplicates of
the inbox, contacts, calendar, etc. Now when I receive mail it goes to the
new "balnk" inbox not the old one where all my other messages are. Same with
contacts, when I go to type new email it does not "see" my contact list since
it is being pointed to the new blank contact folder.

Any thoughts?

Now you see why we recommend that you not import Outlook data. Next time
just copy the data into a PST file then open that PST in the other
installation.

Can't you just copy the information form the second PST file into your
laptop's default PST, then close the second?
