Transferring pst files to a second computer

I have copied my pst files off an old computer to a folder
in order to transfer them to a newer computer - both
running Outlook 97. When I try to import the files from
the folder of pst files, I get the window - "access
denied". Any ideas?
Thanks.

How did you copy the file? Did you ever copy it to a read only medium, like
a CD?

Yes, I copied the pst files from my old hard drive
(operating system wouldn't start) onto a CD. Then I
placed the CD into the new computer. Thanks for the quick
response.

Then remove the read only attribute from the file.

When I try to remove the "read only" attribute from the
mailbox.pst and mailbox.pab files, I get "an error has
occured in applying attributes. Access is denied"

Then you'll need to provide more information on how you copied this file,
what operating system you are using, and what your logon permissions are.
