Transferring Quick Time to a PC

B

BSG

I recently burned a QT movie to a cd to transfer to Powerpoint on a PC. I
could not play the movie and got error messages saying that it was searching
for a clip.
Any suggestions.
Thanks!

You need to use a format that the PC will recognize... I would suggest
..avi. You can transcode the movie through QuickTime (pro) if you want
to.
The problem is that PPT for Windows does not recognize QT movies :-\
(same problem for PICT or JPEG with QT compesion for images).

Another suitable format would be MPEG. The real problem is that
Quicktime on MS-Windows does not act as an appropriate OLE object for
handling the data. I am not sure why, maybe something worth
investigating?

Quite true... MPEG is cross platform (be careful what codecs you use
though).I tend to forget about this format.
