transferring settings for custom notes

I have custom note flags that I have set up on one computer. I have my
notebook structure pointing to a folder that I synch across all my computers,
and was hoping there is a way to get this customizing file to synch across as
well. Possible, or is that something that is not user-configurable (the
location of where it looks for this file).

Thx.

What is the "customizing file"?

Do you want to copy Note Flag settings to a different computer? Copy
C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\Microsoft\OneNote
\preferences.dat to the other computer(s). This will be a one-time copy of
the Note Flag settings (and some other settings).

This will not do a sync as you're looking for. I'd recommend making all NF
customizations you want on one computer, then move that preferences.dat
file to the others.

that's the customizing file I meant. You answered the question of how to do
it. Thanks. Is the list of what else will be changed short? I've made
random setup changes on different computers, so would ideally like to know
which of those (on the receiving computer) are going to be overwritten with
the action. If it's possible to provide, great. If not, thanks for the help.
