transition between mac & pc

I have an old version of Microsoft Works 2.0 for mac. I
am now using a pc that has Microsoft Office (XP op sys).
I want to transfer data from my old to my new and office
doesn't let me. Can I buy a pc version of works to make
the transfer?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This newsgroup only deals with Mac versions of Office. You'll need to ask on
one of the other Microsoft MVP newsgroups that deals with Windows versions.

Hi Mark,

DataViz' MacLinkPlus Deluxe
(<http://www.dataviz.com/products/maclinkplus/mlp_xlators.html>) says it
will convert MS Works 2.0 Spreadsheet Formats but not Word Processing
Formats (MS Works for Mac 3.0 is the lowest word processor listed).

Can you convert your Works 2.0 documents to RTF and then import to the PC?
At the very least, you'll have the text that way.

As for converting from Works for Mac to Works for PC, I don't know. Best
follow Clive's advice and ask on a Windows newsgroup.
