Transition Effect > Wheel

Greetings from Downunder
Trying to emulate the effect of old movies as they count down to the
start -- remember the screen would wipe in a clockwise wheel effect and
beep -- 5beep ... 4beep ... 3beep etc. Slide 1 of the presentation works
fine but all the following slides just wipe the contents of the text box
only (4,3 etc) and NOT the entire slide. Anybody got any ideas? All help
always appreciated
Using XP Pro and Office XP

I would do this with 5 objects on one slide, instead of five separate
slides. Have each one do the wheel entrance with a sound effect. Follow each
entrance with a disappear exit animation. Stack the five objects so that
they are aligned both middle and center, with object one on top and object
five on the bottom. Finally, set all the animations to start "after
previous".

Post back and let me know if you need a better description of this solution.

Hi Kathy J
Thank you for your prompt reply. I tried what you suggested but I couldn't
really follow it. Would dearly love to see a demo -- one that I could pull
apart and copy

It sounds like on the first slide you wipe the background on but don't clear
it so the only change in the next slide is the number.

In this example I've made the screen go black after 2 rather than count to 1
(a film countdown would normally go black after 3 but for your purposes
you'd probably prefer more action on screen in favour of strict accuracy!).
