translate to Arabic language

Scott

Hello all.
I am sort of new to this type of need. I have a user who needs to translate
literature from English into the Arabic language. What all would I need to
get this user able to do this? The machine she would be using would be on a
Windows 2000 Pro, with Office 2003. Do I need to get somekind of special
keyboard? Or will just a special version of Office do? Any help will be
greatly welcome.

Thank you.

I've never actually had to do this but the way to go would be:

Control Panel > Regional & language options > Languages

First put a check mark in the "Install files for complex script and
right-to-left languages" box.

After those have been installed, again on the "Languages" page click on
"Text services and input languages" then "Details" then "Add". You should
find Arabic (there will be several flavors if I recall correctly) in the
list now. From now on it's pretty automatic.

For sanity's sake it would be advisable to have an Arabic keyboard I would
imagine. It should be possible to type Arabic in Word with this setup but
you might try asking in microsoft.public.word.international.features.
