translation

I try to install the translation feature of Office 2003 to use in Word and am
either unable to find it on the disk or I cannot access it from the installed
program. What do I need to do?

It's not clear what you've tried. Are you saying that you tried to install
it, but couldn't find it and therefore didn't install it? Or, are you saying
that you installed it, but find no evidence that the installation worked?

If the latter... In Word, type a word (e.g. "time") and right-click it. Does
Translate appear in the popup menu?

Or, press Ctrl+F1 to display the Task Pane. Click the top of the Task Pane
and choose Research. Just above the Back button, click the dropdown arrow
and see if Translate is on the list.

When I right click, translation does appear. After I highlight Translate, I
get this message box :"Microsoft Office Word can't open the translation
dictionary for the requested languages. this feature is not curently
installed. Would you like to install now?"
I click YES and it begins an Installation Message Box. After about 1/4 of
the way, I receive an error message:"A required installation file SKU011.CAB
could not be found." Another section in the same message box tells me to
insert the installation CD. Once it is inserted I get box that has listed
different components on the CD sucah as Enterprise, Front Page, OneNote,
ProjectStandard, etc. as well as a "Browse this CD" link.

From there, I don't know where to go or what to do.

I hope this info is helpful in figuring out the problem.

Is the language you're trying to translate from/to one of the (usually
three) languages for which proofing tools are included in your specific
Office version?
