Transparency: difference between SNP & PDF

I am using Stephen Leban's excellent ReportToPDF
(http://www.lebans.com/reporttopdf.htm) to create PDF reports. I am also
using his Transparent routines (http://www.lebans.com/transparent.htm) to
save signatures with transparent backgrounds as EMF-data in an OLE Object
field. When I use this transparent image in a report, the transparency
displays correctly in the intermediary SNP-file, but does not display
correctly in the final PDF-file.

Can somebody perhaps point me in the right direction to solve this problem.
Logic points to the DynaPDF control that are used to translate the SNP-file
to the PDF-format.
