Transparency of Containers

How do I change the transparency of the containers (all of them) so they show
up on the page?

John Guin [msft]

Under Tools | Options | Other, there is a setting for Show note containers on
pages.

John,
Thanks for the reply.
Under Tools|Options|Other, I have the following choices:
1) Other (Which has Place OneNote icon & Disable Screen clipping
check-boxes and a Service Option Button)
2) Search
3) Disable Text recog in pics
4) Battery Options
I don't have the Show note containers on pages anywhere.
Is there something wrong with my One Note?

Try Tools--> Options --> Display. The last checkbox on the top half of the
page is "Show note containers on pages"

Kathy,
Thanks for replying.
I alredy had that box checked. I tried unchecking it to see what it does.
It makes the containers show up when you put your cursor on the location.
What I am looking to do is have all the containers show up all the time.
It sounds like the Transparency button is the way to go (see John's answer
below) but for some reason, I don't have that choice on my
Tools|Options|Other page.
Question:
I have the Home and Student 2007. Could this feature not be included?
Thanks again!

I believe what John pointed out is where the same checkbox was located on ON
2003. I believe there is no option to show all the containers all of the
time. You have to click or hover over each one for it to show up.

I believe that Michael is correct that the "always on" type of highlighting
was only available in 2003, not in 2007.

To answer the other half: The OneNote that comes with Home and Student is a
full featured version. Same goes with the Word, Excel, and PPT in that
package.

John,
Please see Kathy and Michael's notes below.
Do you use the 2003 version and therefore, you have the option to show all
the containers all the time?
It seems odd that something as useful as that feature is not in the 2007
version. I guess sometimes progress has its determents!
John, is there an Add-in that I could find to do what I'd like?
Do you know of anything out there that would replicate the 2003 version in
that feature?
Thanks again for answering,
Bob S.
