Transparent Charts

When trying to make Excel X charts transparent, I use the
Format Data Series dialog. When I open this and go to
Fill Effects, the only tab I have is Patterns. I do not
have Gradients, Textures, or Pictures. I therefore can't
make the charts transparent. Has anyone else had this
problem, or know how I can get these additional tabs to
show up? I thought I did a complete install!

Thanks!

Look in the formatting palette. Most of the tools are there.

I figured it out. I was trying to make a bar graph
transparent, but that won't work. It has to be an area
type graph!

Thanks!
