Transpose rows to columns

In Office 2007 I can cut and "paste special" with a variety of options, one of which is to transpose rows to columns and vice versa.

How do I do this in XL2008? Other than choosing to format according to the destination there don't seem to be any paste options

Paste Special lets me paste as different file formats, which seems barely useful.

It actually works exactly the same as the Windows version. After pressing
Command + C, the selection should have the marching ants around it. At that
point, if you go to Edit/Paste Special... You should see "Transpose" as one
of the paste options in the Paste Special dialog.

However, if you press <esc>, enter data in another cell, or do anything else
that makes the marching ants around the initial selection go away, then when
you go to Paste Special you will get a version of the Paste Special dialog
that only offers you the file paste formats. This behavior is different from
the Windows version based on slightly different implementations.

Thanks,

Pat

I'll say - In Excel 2007 any of those actions cause you to altogether lose
the ability to Paste Special or even Paste because the clipboard gets
dumped! Now *there's* a Plus for our side:)
