transposing cells

I do not understand the instructions for transposing cells
from vertical to horizontal. I have been cutting and
pasting each vertical group individually and would like to
use a formula to do it faster. Thank you.

Marg,

Select and Copy (Edit - Copy, or equivalent) the cells. Now determine the
range you want the transposed cells in. Note that you can't put the
transposed stuff on top of the original stuff. Select the upper left corner
cell of that range. Edit - Paste special - Transpose. Done.
