transposing data in excel worksheet

I have 1200 excel 2003 worksheets in the following configuration

Town1 Town2 Town3 Town4
Date Date Date Date
Salesperson sales
n1 sales#
n2 sales#
n3 sales#
n4 sales#

I would like to put data in following. I have been doing manually, but it
is going to take months.

There are 500 salespersons. Towns about 200 are repeated in other charts
but on different dates over 50 years.

Post did not format correctly. Columns town1 etc with row of date underneath
are columns to right of salesperson and sales columns and a row above row
with salesperson and sales.
