In contemplation the installation of Office 2007 in one computer (incredibly
the same, running XP Pro since 2K approximately), which has gone through
O97, O2000, OXP and O2003, I need to ask a question.
I keep getting, besides of hotfixes for O2003, those for O2K. Should I
delete my current O2003/O2K before installing O2007? But if I do so, I will
loose all my configurations and others quirks accumulated by the years. Will
I be pester in updating O2K and O2K3 also, besides of O2K7?
Thanks and cheers

Hi Rolando,

MS Office 2000 had apps no longer included in Office XP and Office 2003 as part of the MS Office suites. When this occurs then the
'other' programs will usually be left installed and you will be prompted to install the updates to the Office software that hosted
those apps to keep them current.

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to see what Microsoft Office family products and versions are listed to
determine which you may no longer need/use. Other than those, and not being able to host two versions of MS Office Outlook at the
same time, you should be able to upgrade to MS Office 2007 with the other items still there.

As with any system/software modification always backup before starting. There's always the possibility of 'oh no!' occuring with
computers :)
