tray icons disappeared when Groove removed

To help speed up my older system I removed Groove and other Office 2007
Enterprise programs using the disc (left Word, Excel, PP, Access, Outlook).
Now most tray icons won't appear, even when the blocks are checked (like
power management and Remove Hardware Safely). Even my antivirus won't show
unless I click it from the Programs menu, but it is indeed running (verified
with Task Manager). Even when I get icon to appear, they often disappear
without reason.

Short of reinstalling the OS (XP SP3), is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

There is a group for groove and also one for your operating system. I
don't think you are going to be able to fix this through any mechanism
or utility of office.
