Trial Expired Warning With OEM office installed.

I have posted this Question 3 times with no replies, I was under the
impression that our technet subscription will get us under 2 day reply to
questions we post here. Can I can whoever is monitoring this group to address
this question please.

I have a computer which we purchased with the OEM version of 2007 Office SBE.
We did not realize that we did not get a CD so we downloaded a trial version
while the CD was enroute. We have since uninstalled the trial and loaded the
OEM version.

Everything works fine, but when we pull up a fax or picture using the office
viewer, we get a warning that our office trial has expired and gives us
options to buy it.

Can anybody tell us how to get rid of the trial parts so we dont get the
warning, SBE is working fine for us and we have no need for the access that
comes with Pro. The error is just starting to aggravate the user.

Thanks.

How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it
by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature:

This is the public group and is not monitored. And there's no guarantee
you'll get any replies here. We do what we can but we're not MS employees.
(I can't give you more info about the benefits because I no longer have
TechNet. Don't they still have a telephone support option?)

I dont need to uninstall office, I just need to get rid of the trial warning.
We have the full version of small business installed(OEM). When we use the
office viewer we get a warning that a trial version has expired and you have
to click to get rid of the error.

I have uninstalled the trial and the OEM version, and re-installed just the
OEM version with the same results. Suspect it might be the Access trial we
are forced to load with the new version of office.

Just need to clear the trial components to get rid of the error.

Perhaps you need to uninstall all of Office, then go through the manual
uninstallation of Office2007 to ensure you have remove all of the trial. The
problem being that it would appear the trial wasnt fully removed and as such
it is embedded with your OEM version and probably you cannot remove the
trail bits on there own as they are both in effect the same application

Hi Stefan,

The discussion/newsgroups have multiple 'faces'. The messages exist in the Microsoft public newsgroups
(news://msnews.microsoft.com) and the web based Microsoft Community discussion groups
( http://community.microsoft.com/office). If you search on Google, for example, you'll usually find that the messages are also
mirrored on private websites as 'their' forums. :)

If you use the conceirge service through the subscriber links on http://technet.microsoft.com or http://msdn.microsoft.com with an
MSDN or Technet subscription those messages also appear in the public discussion/newsgroups, but additionally MS subscription
support folks also see those entries as 'special'. Those entries are 'managed' when you enter through the subscribers 'facing' for
the groups.

Generally, OEM and trial products aren't included in general Microsoft support.

There can be a couple of reasons for the Picture Manager activation message when you have mixed product entries. You may want to
try Method 3 of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895 then restart the PC. You may have to use the phone activation method to
reactivate.

Without knowing the exact error message you're getting, for removing Office 2007 parts
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/9128218
if there isn't any trial product in Add/Remove Programs and if you've restarted the PC since making the installation/activation
change.
