Trial FP, questions.

Greetings;
Am looking into sending for the FP 2003 triap CD. I was wondering if
FP'03 will let me do all my web site building offline on myPC.... Y/N
Can I preview FP'03 offline using IE?
Has any one had problems with FP'03 uploading to Comcast's hosting sites?

I'm basically dumb as a brick as far as web sites go. I don't know a bit of
html (nor do I want to learn it ;-) I know nothing about web structuring. I
did manage to build my 1st site suing Coffee Cup software, but it is buggy
and had many problems, like not being able to upload any page changes (add a
word and I had to re-upload the entire site)
I have played aropund with MS Word 2002's page builder and didn't fint it
too difficult.
Can anyone asnswe a few of these questions? Lol, any suggestions..... other
then give up ;-D

FP03 is quite easy if you understand the basics...so messin' with the trial
version is definitely recommended.

Yes, you can build a site offline then Publish it to your host...best if you
have FrontPage extensions installed on the host...and better if you have
extensions installed on your machine as well (XP Pro & Windows 2000 - cant
remember the version of 2000 though)

Comcast? If you mean you're gonna use your free ISP space...hmmmm dunno. If
they offer FrontPage extensions it will make publishing easier. If they
don't you have to use FTP either FP's or a third party ftp program.

Hmmm.... Guess maybe I'll give the freebie a try then. Comcast uses Front
page to set up the main directory(?) to upload your home page to. And they do
have an FTP addy to upload to as well. So if that's the main possible
sticking points, I should be ok there.
By chance do you or anyone that reads this know what Frontpage means by
"After the trial period Frontpage becomes partially disabled"? Partially
disabled? Seems the whole thing would disable ;-)

You don't loose any of the file (web pages) that you have created.

If you have FP extensions you will NOT want to use ftp, as it will break the
extensions and cause grief...as you may have noticed a LOT of problems
herein are caused by users not understanding this.

I "think" partially disabled may mean you cannot publish to your web after
the trial expires.
