Trial OneNote Installation with Generic Key

D

Dan levine

Hello,

We deploy applications on New Workstation rebuilds. We would love to deploy
a trial copy of OneNote so we can really get our users hooked on it.
Unfortunately the trial process is extremely tedious primarily because of the
key request, so we very rarely do it.

Is there any other way for us to deploy trials of OneNote in an automated
method easier?

Thanks

Hi Dan,

It sounds like you want to be able to try OneNote on a company-wide level.
If your company licenses Microsoft software on a Select or Enterprise
Agreement level, you will receive OneNote in your Volume Licensing media (in
your Select Media Kit). It can be deployed to multiple users using SMS (just
like any other Office product). The code is in the Office Professional SKU.

There are three options if you are an EA customer to get the “rights†to
deploy OneNote:

1) If you have purchased at least one OneNote license on your EA, you can
deploy across your company now and true up at time of your EA renewal if you
want to keep the additional licenses.

2) If you have an EA, you have the rights to use up to 20 copies of
OneNote (and any other Microsoft software) in a training environment for as
long as you want.

3) If you have an EA, you can deploy as many copies as you want in a test
environment for 30 days.

If you do not have a Select or EA level volume licensing agreement with
Microsoft, I'm afraid that the downloadable trial is currently the only way
you can do a free trial of OneNote.

Hope this helps.

Roan
