trial update should support version changes, ie. standard to prof

I purchased a new computer that came with a 60 day trial of Office. I tried
to install Office professional at the end of the trial period only to find
the installation appeared to work perfectly, yet never occured. I knew that
because the Office software stated it was still the student version. Office
professional costs a bundle so I should be able to update my trial student
version to pro without extra work. This was not the case. I spent time on
the microsoft support site determining what went wrong. Finally I found the
faq that said I had to uninstall the trial version. I did that and the pro
version was enabled. This cost me an hour of my time. My time is valuable,
actually more valuable than the engineers and managers at microsoft. So, I
conclude the trial Office is a bust and definitely a pain. If only this
message could reach the people at Microsoft. What a waste of my time again.

This is just common sense. Usually something that is given as a trial be it
software or anything the product is not viable as an end product. You need
to discard it and then use the final product
