Trial version Expired upon downlaoding

I have downloaded Microsoft Office 2007 trial version and went to open the
software just to see Expiration has expired.
How can it expire as I have just downloaded it.
I have a dell laptop with Vista OP and office package is not part of the
package.
I am a university student and was told download Microsoft Office free trial
until loan money comes in to purchase the full product.

How do I fix this issue, MS tech support directed me to you.

Try this:
search for a file named opa12.dat, send it to the recycle bin, then restart
the PC and try the activation

It is not with the Activation the OP has an issue with. He cannot download the Trial version of Office 2007

Did you have a Trial version already installed.
If you just got the computer lately did the previous owner delete it
Did you ever go to the Trial site and filled in your info but did not download it.

You obviously missed the bit in the OP where it says "I DOWNLOADED" Office
2007.....
