trigger - custom animation

hi everybody :)

"Triggers" are animation events that are set to play only when a specified
object is clicked

the above statement was written in the PowerPoint Help line, can anybody
kindly explain to me how can I create a "trigger" ? A simple example will be
much appreciated :)

lastly, does any one know how big is a powerpoint slide, in width and height?

thanks in advance for the assistance and info given :)
