Triggering Reminders/Alerts on Additional Mailboxes

I have a couple of additional mailboxes open when I log in to my primary
mailbox in Outlook 2003. All mailboxes are on Exchange 2003. Is there a
way via VBA or other Outlook automation programming to get notifications (new
mail arrival) and reminders for items in the additional mailboxes? I do NOT
want to use a 3rd party tool - I have to do this with capabilities provided
by MS Office 2003 Professional.
