Triggering tasks

I'm not sure this is the right group but it's the
closest I can find. Does anyone know if it's possible to
trigger another task by marking anothertask complete? I
have several recurring month tasks that are all related to
the same job and must be done in order. It is not always
possible to complete the tasks in a one task - one day
scenario as some information needed depends on others
getting their tasks complete and getting information to
me. Ideally I'd like to set it up so I can set a reminder
for the first part on the last Friday of each month then
when I finish that task and mark it as complete it will
bring up the reminder for the second task etc. etc, until
the project is complete.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
