Hi folks. I must pull an incredible audio stunt in Powerpoint 2007 and I'm
really lost at sea: for a live "Deal or no deal"-like game (backed with a PPT
file shown on a big screen projector), I need to start two different music
cues with "animation triggers", a "Choose your suitcases" theme and a
"Banker's offer" theme. With a click on their individual buttons, I can start
each music theme while stopping the previous one, but strangely, the audio
triggers seem to only work ONCE: in other words, I can play each of the two
themes once, one after the other, but I can't play them back again after
that. I can't wait for the sounds to end, since I can't predict when the
music cues will be started, because it's a live show... and I need those two
music cues to be played alternatively for the whole game !
(Some side notes: I can't use .wav files since I need to play some sound FX
while the music is playing, and in Powerpoint, for some reason, .wav files
can't be overlapped. And I do want to use any external audio players like
Winamp, to avoid the ugly and complicated alt-tabbings while projected on the
screen in front on an audience.)
I've already tried mp3 files and CD tracks (?!), but it seems that the
triggers just won't work twice, even with CD tracks ! Could there be any
add-in or macro or function within my PPT slideshow that could trigger
"infinitely" the two music cues alternatively, the moment I need each of them
to be played ?
I hope I was clear and precise enough (it's quite a complex project I have
set up this far), and I also hope there is a solution somewhere, somehow !
