Trim function in a query for making labels

I have an Accress database that was created in Access 2000 (or earlier) ...
newly installed Access 2007. I am trying to print mailing labels -- that
part works as expected, but I am getting an "Enter Parameter Value" box
before the labels display, and when they do display there is Error on the
lines requiring Trim ... I have no idea what I am supposed to input into
that box. Can someone enlighten me, please?

Thanks for your help.

Your References collection is probably messed up.

References problems can be caused by differences in either the location or
file version of certain files between the machine where the application was
developed, and where it's being run (or the file missing completely from the
target machine). Such differences are common when new software is installed.

Examine all of the selected references (the checked ones at the top of the
list).

If any of the selected references have "MISSING:" in front of them, unselect
them, and back out of the dialog. If you really need the reference(s) you
just unselected (you can tell by doing a Compile All Modules), go back in
and reselect them.

If none have "MISSING:", select an additional reference at random, back out
of the dialog, then go back in and unselect the reference you just added. If
that doesn't solve the problem, try to unselect as many of the selected
references as you can (Access may not let you unselect them all), back out
of the dialog, then go back in and reselect the references you just
unselected. (NOTE: write down what the references are before you delete
them, because they'll be in a different order when you go back in)

Thank you. From what you said, I gather I can generate a list of References
.... is that the same thing as Relationships? And how do I do that? Nothing's
obvious to me in the Help file or the Interface.

References and relationships are completely different things. All Access
applications contain references to external libraries (DLL files), and
sometimes there are problems with the References collection that points to
those external libraries.

Open the VB Editor, and select References from the Tools section of the
ribbon.

Thank you very much... I had found this in my "The Missing Manual" book for
Access 2007 but hadn't tried it yet. There was a missing link (an MDA file
called "utility"?) I deselected it, and now it all works like it should!
(Obviously I'm not at all familiar with the VB editor... so thanks again)
