hey. i am running windows 200 seirvis pack 4 with office
2000. i went to install a update for the 2000 system and my
office starting haveing probl;ems then my anti viris said i
had a virus. and i couldnt fiquir it out. wqas able to
delete the virus an now my office when ever i open up any
part of office i get this window

Missing registry information
riquired registry information is missing and this
application cannot run. please rerun setup to correct this
problem.


so i re ran set up. io reinstalled office. and it keeps
doing the same thing. is there any way to fix it with out
redoing windows?

Go to one of the anti-virus sites and look up the name of the virus you had.
They will have cleanup instructions which usually involve resetting some
registry keys and removing renamed items from the Office/Windows/Registry
settings.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I would expect that your virus is also affecting your
spell check options, as every other word in this post in
mis-spelled
