trouble accessing data

when i start up entourage, i get a window that says "ENtourage cannot
access your data. To attempt to fix the problem, rebuild your database."
After i rebuild the database, it still doesn't work and i get a window that
says "An error occurred while launching. Mail error." And then it quits.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
