Trouble Accessing TechNet Webcasts in IE7

Running WinXP Home SP2, up to date on patches, with IE7 installed. Tried to
link into TechNet 2007 Microsoft Office system webcast on January 30th of
this year, and could not get into it at all. One path ended in message that
it wouldn't work with IE7, and to fire up IE6 or other older browsers. What
is up about that, what can I do now, and when is it likely to be fixed?

I'm Power User, beginning Developer, and tried everything I could think of.
Tried both ActiveX and Web Browser versions, turned off Pop-Up blocker.
Running Trend Micro Internet Security 2006.

Hi Stephen,

Which Office webcast from http://microsoft.com/events is the one you were trying to view? Can you view the recorded version?

Bob-

I didn't see it in the current list of recorded events from January 30th,
but I was able to start viewing another recorded event in Windows Media
Player from the streaming feed. I still don't know what impacted my attempt
to view the event live.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for the feedback. What was the title of the event? It may have been postponed, cancelled or been 'technical
difficulties' on their end.

Bob-

That's the problem; I can't remember exactly. It was definitely about
Office, and was to take place at 1:00 P.M. EST on January 30th. I guess I
will have to try another live webcast and see what happens.
