Trouble Adding Banner Add Manager to Insert Menu

A

Andrew Holland

Dear all

I have followed the steps descibed in the Help section (i.e. going into
Tools, Customise, select Insert and click and drag Banner Ad Manager on to
it) but this has no effect. What could I be doing wrong or do I have to
specifiy some other settings elsewhere to allow me to do this?

Many thanks in advance.

If the issue is that you can't see it, it is because you do not have a Java Virtual Machine(JVM)
installed. Windows XP and/or IE 6 no longer come with a JVM, and for that reason is best not use any
Java applets, instead use JavaScript functions.

Thomas, thanks for the response, however I do have a JVM installed - any
other thoughts?

Ok, keep in mind others may not, so will not see the banner. However can you provide the actual
steps you are taking to insert the banner on a page in your current open FP web / site (File Menu |
Open Web / Site)?

Hi Thomas, once again I appreciate your feedback. I haven't got as far as
adding a Banner. My wish is to add a an item to a page that features two
logos - each logo is to be shown for a few seconds before being replaced by
the other logo in the same place - and so on repeatedly. My research suggests
that I need to utilise the Banner Ad Manager function in FP. As you know,
FP2003 does not come with BAM as an available function, you have to add it to
the Insert menu using the Tools/Customise options. I get all the way through
the instructions as provided in the Help files, but when I click and drag
nothing seems to move or happen. Any help you can give is much appreciated.
Thanks, Andrew.

Have you considered using an Animate GIF image containing both logos, as this would work for all
users.
