Trouble creating a Connection File

C

I am trying to create a connection file to an Access 2000 database I created through Frontpage. Per the help file in Access, I open up Access (but not a database) and choose file:new:blank data access page. I choose "New Source" and then "Other/Advanced" for type of data source. I select "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider" and click Next. That brings me to the Connection tab of the Data Link Properties window and this is where my trouble begins.

In the "Select or enter a database name:" I browse through "My Network Places" and choose the shortcut which points to the web setup on the web server. Continue to browse through the directory structure to my database and click "Open". This returns me back to the Connection tab BUT the path in the "Select or enter database name:" field points to my local harddrive rather than the web server. Note that there are no shares setup on the web server so I can't seem to access it any other way than through the shortcuts in "My Network Places" or through Frontpage by opening a web.

How can I create this connection file?
