Trouble Downloading

S

Sail

I have not been successful in downloading any templates. The process seems
to get hung up and does not complete. I get the message the ActiveX has
installed properly, then go back to the download page where I get a pop-up
screen that show Downloading: Download Size: (with no additional
information). Sometimes there is a progress bar at the bottom of the page.
If the progress bar is there, it stops half way. I have deleted all cookies
and temp internet files, set the Explorer sercurity setting to low, checked
the ActiveX control which is set to low (I have even reset it). I tried
turned off my firewall and internet protection for the download. Still I
cannot download any templates. I am running Windows 2000 and Office 2000.
All of the updates have been done. I appreciate any help.

These templates were for Word 97 or later.

Part of the problem could be that many of the templates are not capable of
being run in Office 2000.

Thank you Mary, for your suggestions. I did them all, but still have the
same result.

Move your temporary folder. In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, move
folder. You can move it anywhere.

Look at your add-ons, is the Office control enabled? In Internet Explorer,
tools, Manage Add-ons.

Are you certain the ActiveX control is installed
