When you write in Word, normally you "add" characters to the line in Insert
Mode. That is pushing the other characters on the line over to the next
line.
You have two options:
Easiest is to delete some characters from the line before you type.
Alternatively, add Text Boxes to the document, remove the outline and the
fill from the text boxes, set them "in front of text" and drag them into
position over the top of the doctor's form.
The second option is easy enough if you know how, but it's a bit of a
fiddle. I would use the first method.
Hope this helps

I am trying to fill out a medical form sent from a doctor's office via email.
What happens is when I type information on a line, the line breaks underneath
the letters as I type. How can I get the info to write on the line keeping it
intact?
thanks.
