Trouble finding and installing PRO.MSI

S

Steve T.

I am using Office Pro 2003, SP2, multi-language. At random times, while
using Outlook, the program will shut down to a sleep mode. I can only "wake
it up" by pressing the computer "on" switch. After reviving, it then asks
for permission to install "speech recognition files." When I follow this
request, it asks me to install pro.msi from my CD. I have now figured out
that my CD does not contain pro.msi, but it does contain pro11.msi, since I'm
using Office Pro 2003. When I direct the installer program to this file on
my CD, it will not recognize it. It shows error 1706: stating pro11.msi is
not a valid installation package for MSOffice XP Professional. It appears
this function thinks I have XP Pro, not Pro 2003. And I wonder if the
multi-language issue is related to this.
So, how do I install pro11.msi, assuming this will solve the problem of
Outlook shutting down and requesting the speech recognition files?
