I have created a Word 2000 document with form fields which
can be used to import data directly into an Access 2000
database. The process works fine unless one or more of
the date fields in the word document is left blank, in
which case I get an error message and no information is
imported.
There is not a problem if a text field in the Word
document is left blank, just a date field. The text
fields in the database are set to allow zero length. The
date fields in the database currently have a default value
of NULL in the property sheet, although it doesn't make a
difference if there is no default value.
If I enter information into the database using an Access
form, there is no problem with blank date fields - only
when importing from Word.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
