I have 5 text files that I import into Access, three small ones and
two large ones that are 52 and 98mb. This was no problem in Access
2003 but since I have upgraded to 2007 these files will not import and
after several minutes I get a 'program not responding' when I check to
task manager. I end the program and when I get back into Access the
files are there but I would like not having to go in and out every
time I import these two files. I am running XP on a Dell, Intel(R)
Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz with 2048 MB of RAM. I have shut down all
the other programs and it still crashes. I thought of changing the
text files to Excel and importing them but they are larger than the
65,000 or so line max.
