Trouble Importing Project 2000 Data

Every time I try to import Project 2000 data into Visio
2000 to make Gantt charts, it tells me "The .mpx data is
corrupted". The problem: I've never tried to import .mpx
data. The problem happens when I try to import .xls
or .txt data. When I try to import .csv, the software
hangs and I have the use Task Manager to stop Visio.

Any suggested workarounds? Is this addressed in SR-1 or
SR-2? If so, where can I get SR-1, since M$ no longer has
it available on their website? Thanks.
