trouble making "hide on next mouse click" work

P

Peter Capek

If I create an animation with the following:

(On Mouse click) Display text1 (Hide on next mouse click)
(After previous) Display line1 with a wipe
(After previous) Display line 2 with a wipe

(On Mouse click) Display text2....

The first text disappears affter line1 displays, instead of remaining
visible until text2 is displayed following the next mouse click.

Is this a bug, or am I misinterpreting how this should work?

The on next mouse click there means the next animation. You will realize that
if you change it to With Previous, the first text will remain visible (when
viewed in slide show)

What I suggest you to do is:

(On Mouse click) Display text1
(After previous) Display line1 with a wipe
(After previous) Display line 2 with a wipe

(On Mouse click) Display text2....
(With Previous) Hide text1 with disappear or wipe

In the knowledge base article 235622 it says, "Microsoft has confirmed that
this is a problem in PowerPoint 2000. This problem was first corrected in
Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3)." If this was corrected in office
2000, then why does this problem recur in office 2003?
