trouble opening .mdb file

I created a database and saved it and I have trouble
opening the file from the save position it wants to reload
access? Once it loads it creates a .ldb file? Once it
creates that file I can open my .mdb file. Now I can open
access and the open the file with now problem but I would
like to be able to open it from the icon so that I can
distribute it on the server so other can look at it and
not have to wait for access to load just to look at it.

I am not sure of your description but an Access Database mdb file needs the
Access software to be installed on the workstation and to be loaded into the
memory to open the database (Forms / Reports / etc...). The.ldb file is the
locking file which needs to be there to allow data edits / addition.

Unless you only want to read the data in a JET mdb file in this case, you
can use other software like Excel to look at the data in the Tables.
