Your OS X version really doesn't matter ‹ it's the version of Word/Office
that may. But if you're using anything from Word 98-Word 2004 the default
file format (.doc) is the same as Word 97-2003 for Windows. Anyone using one
of those versions, Word 2007 or even the Word 2010 Beta should have no
problem opening files saved in the .doc format.
However, RTF is a fairly universal format as well. It's hard to be sure what
your problem is because your Message doesn't provide any details relevant to
the Subject. If you're saving in RTF & the Windows user can't open the file
for some reason I suspect that the problem has to do with how the file is
being forwarded to him/her... Email attachment, perhaps? You really haven't
offered much to go on.
Unless you fully & accurately describe exactly what the situation is it's
tough to offer any specific suggestions. Complete details are important.
